Indie Game Night

Utah Indie Game Night is held once a quarter, and because we're part of the indie scene here in Utah, we host it at our offices every once in a while. Last Thursday we had about 40 people show up for the evening of fun and games. Eric Pattison, one of our programmers, attended with some of his ITT students, and here's what he had to say about the night:

"Indie Game night had a great turnout, with a lot of great projects shown, a wonderful presentation by Darius Ouderkirk on 'Choosing an indie game project wisely, so that it increases your chances of finishing it,' and an abundance of pizza."

Sadly, we didn't get any pictures of the event, but if you can imagine a room with 20 Papa John's pizzas and 40 programmers/designers/artists, you can imagine a room with a lot of smiling faces :)

If you want to read more detailed descriptions of the night's events, go to Jay Barnson's blog or Greg Squire's blog. Also, the slides from the presentation can be found here and the first part of Darius' presentation can be found on his blog, here.

Well, after much enjoyment from Ninja Bee indie games on the Xbox - I'm hoping some more of those projects come full circle, happily nourished by pizza!
