NinjaBee Game in a Day!

We want you to come to our game in a day event tomorrow! Well, not really. What we mean to say is we want you to virtually come to our game in a day event.

Tomorrow, Saturday May 5, a bunch of the devs at our studio are getting together to try to make an entire game in just one day... and then release it!

We're going to be doing hourly updates throughout the day so you can follow our progress as we go. Keep checking back here on the NinjaBee blog and follow us on twitter @NinjaBeeGames to get more real-time updates.

Obviously, if we don't finish in a day we can't release it, so make sure you're here to cheer us on! We may just give out an XBLA code or two randomly to people who comment and any of tomorrow's (or this) blog posts. *wink*wink

We're choosing what the game will be tonight. Any requests?

YOu should make some 2D mining RTS.

I will say that yellow console is pretty badical. I'm also stoked for impromptu game creation, very curious to see what hare-brained ideas come out of this.

Hmm. Perhaps it could start out like this: You are in a maze of twisty passages, all alike.

That console and controller look awesome. You should make a Keflings Tower Defense game. I'm not sure what the enemy would be, but use the various kingdoms for level variety. Ice levels, sand levels, normal levels, space levels, and candy levels. You could their resource/kingdom variety as tower variety. Ice towers, pink crystal laser towers, flaming-wood thrower towers, etc. Use the dragon on his perch as the ultimate tower. I have all the Keflings games/DLC, but my best-friend does not... wink wink.

Awesome idea...I think a simple 2D beat-em-up ala Final Fight or Streets of Rage would be awesome.

Good Luck!

Maybe a Kefling like war sim? building you buildings attack others, your avatar is the hero?

This sounds like an awesome challenge! I've played all of Ninja Bee's games and would love to see what the creative minds can come up with in such a time crunch! How about a pinball game inspired by one or all of your titles? Or even better, an action game starring The Ninja Bee himself!!

A Ninja-Bee inspired tower defense game would be a welcome sight !

How about a kefling game with new mechanics?

Maybe something like power generators and wires running everywhere. Maybe pipeworks? Steampunk?

Maybe Minecraft style recipies? Keflingcraft.

Maybe add an economy and pay the keflings a fair wage. It's a bit of a communist fantasy as it is.

You should make a shooter like the old Turbo Graphics 16 games. I love those. Or a hack and slash RPG.

Ok, random though.... you play as a pair of pants in a giant dryer. You must fight off the socks, kill one and it disappears...(im sure thats where my socks go), the coins that inevitably end up tinging around in there and various other articles of clothing until you get to the boss... pair of shoes... or surevive the mobs until you are dry in a certain amount of time...im bored... dont judge me

I'm really excited to see what you guys come up with!

Fortunately, you're more creative than I, because the only think I could come up with for a game idea is Kefling Kart.
